Newbie Bulk/Cut?

  • I am on my first bulk and wondering how i might break up the next 6-12 months into bulking and cutting cycles… Right now I am thinking I could do one long bulk and one long cut or I could alternate between a 2 month bulk and 1 month cut type cycle

Obviously there are plenty of other variations and ultimately I should choose the one that best suits me.

Just wondered if there were any pros and cons of the former approach to the latter that I might have missed.

What works for you?

cons : you won’t gain any muscle mass while cutting

pros : ?

I would rather specify a goal, e.g. a total of 1000 pounds or a BW of 200 pounds or anything like that, instead of bulking for a set amount of time.
