To get a 6-pack, and continue to get stronger; or at least maintain. I’ve been powerlifting for five years, and currently weight 285, at 6’1." Up until a year ago, I ate whatever I wanted, which was a lot. I hit 303, got mad, and cleaned up my diet somewhat. I dropped 20 lbs in three months, and leveled off. My strength stayed the same.
Well, now it’s a new year, and I want to finish what I started. I know setting a weight goal is simplistic, as it can be skewed by a gain or loss in muscle mass. Obviously, if I want ‘6-pack,’ I can gauge this visually, but thought using BMI would help for gauging progress along the way.
I know using the ‘water tank’ method is best, but I don’t have access to that.
Is the caliper test accurate enough?
Any guess as to what BMI I will need to achieve? Or does it vary too much from one person to the next?
