New to the Forums - Introduction

Hi all, new member here, thought I would quickly introduce myself.

I’m a 47yo recreational lifter, who mostly train to keep myself strong(ish) and fit as I am eyeing the second half of life. I have been training on and off since I was 18. Unfortunately the off periods were significantly longer and more frequent than the on periods - and I was never that serious about it.

Back around 2017, I started up again and tried to up the seriousness a bit.

Currently I am working out at home 3 times a week and with the ongoing covid-19 situation, it seems that will be the case for the foreseeable future. But so far it has been good, as it has meant going back to basics, instead of constantly eyeing the next shiny machine.

Have been lurking here on the forums for a good while and learned loads of useful stuff reading through the various threads.
(These days, T-Nation together with Athlean-X has evolved into my two main sources of information & inspiration for workouts and technique.)

This seems to be a really good place, with a lot of friendly folks around, so figured it was time to I joined up.

Cheers
Jan

Welcome to the nuthouse!

Glad you’re here.
I also use T-nation and Athleen-X and throw in a little bit of Elitefts.

Thanks

Welcome. Good to have another naughty fourty on the site.

You’ll probably fit in just fine. Watch out for Bulldog… Ha!

Thanks

Hope so. He actually seems like a quite reasonable guy - most of the time…

Bulldog has great advice, when he gives it. Has strong sons too.
