My name is Chris, I am a 27 year old male. I am new to all this weight training stuff, I have done some in the past but it was mostly whatever M&F said to do. After reading some of the articles here the Old School training article and some other general conditioning articles have peaked my interest. I am a cheapskate and wont join a gym so its sandbags and tires/kegs (the fun part is emptying them) for me.
My background is mainly in endurance sports like road cycling and marathon kayaking which dont require any time in the gym to be successful. What has me interested is I want to increase my overall fitness so I don't blow my back out lifting a couch or a 5 gallon bucket full of water.
I don't really have any questions yet, I am still reading the info on this site and have found all the answers to the questions I have had so far. Thank you for the warm welcome and look forward to being a member of this community.
