I’m going to start lifting Monday from a sedentary lifestyle. I’ve lifted before, but I don’t have a workout routine planned yet. Any advice or tips on going from zero to working out? Not really looking to bulk yet just want to get stronger and lose fat.
At this point Keep it simple…start slow…dont overthink it …be patient .
Find any of the great articles on T-nation that highlight full plans. At this point just do something. You don’t have very clear goals so “getting stronger” will happen no matter what plan you do, and “losing fat” will happen if you clean up your diet. There’s an article called “the simple diet for athletes” that outlines solid basic principles.
Either of these a good start…
