It may not seem like a big deal to most of you, mainly because I should be lifting A LOT more. Either way, when I finished my workout I couldn’t wait to come home and post what I had accomplished.
Today I benched 200 for the first time since tearing three tendons in my rotator cuff over 3 years ago. And it wasn’t just once. I managed 5 reps doing close grip pretty easily. After getting pretty much nowhere for the last couple years on bench. I’ve taken the last couple months to try focus on strengthening my triceps and apparently it paid off!
People always looked at me funny in the gym when they watch me struggling with 185 on bench after deadlifting 400+
It feels good
