-describe training - Virtually none for the past 5 years (Injuries)

-how have morning wood and nocturnal erections changed - Not much of either which is a big switch. Here and gone scenario

Been a strength athlete for many years. 2006 had microfracture surgery on right knee and that took a few years for the cartilage to fill in. Got the body weight down to 240# and started training only to get rear-ended in 2008. Still suffering from that and hard to get motivated.

Doctor wants to talk with me about creams. I searched the site for cream vs injection protocol but could not find anything. Thought I saw something awhile ago where creams were not as effective.

Any help is appreciated.

PLEASE please test TSH (and if > 1 please test ft3, rt3, and 8am cortisol) before starting HRT… as well as Estradiol, D25-OH, B12, ferritin.

Your doc should have also run LH and FSH to determine if you are primary or secondary before offering a prescription and if low, he should have recommended a pituitary MRI… since he didn’t, I would run as fast I could from him, and find a new doctor who knows what they are talking about.

there are many possibilities, low T being one of them, but if you have fix your issue by undercovering and correcting another deficiency, then you should.

Thanks for the reply PC. I took my template from a former post and forgot to put the other results in (that’s why I had it redone in the first place).

Based on the added information, I would welcome any further thoughts.

Thanks

did he say anything about your B12 being horrible? please tell me you started supplementing…

are you taking vitamin D3? if not, 6,000iu daily is a good start.

how are you daily body temps at waking, and at 9am, 12pm, 3pm?

LH/FSH look normal as does your estradiol. and your T is low… hmmmm…

your high CHOL is your body trying to feed more raw material to the hormone creation chain… but something is breaking down in between… it makes me wonder what your progestrone, DHEA-S, and 8am cortisol look like…

nothing is really jumping out at me… besides the B12… maybe test for ferritin/iron capacity?
