I was thinking it’s about time for stones here.

So are you thinking/planning on doing some strong men competition?

Hit the stones again today. Not sure about strongman competitions around here. there must be something. But i would need to be in much better condition then I am now.

Relativelt quick one today. Kept it light and quick.

Well, I see it’s business as usual here, lifting heavy awkward stuff :-). Glad your back is feeling better.

Thanks Mini. Nice to see you.

  1. A bunch of stone lifts

If any of you get the chance definitely lift a stone or something odd shaped. It’s such a different feel than a evenly balanced bar. Very humbling.

That looks heavy. Remind me of this picture from an old book of mine. 180 # on shoulder and farmer walking the small 70 #er.

Thanks Harry. That’s such a cool picture. People were so much hardier years ago. What we call a workout they just called work. I’m sure the stone workers of the past would laugh at my stone lifting.

Nobody on here’s laughing at your stone lifting.

Hey who is that handsome stud in the picture?

Thank you Biker for the support. You’re a good man

Come on Paul I’m not that good looking. (Do you really think so?)

  1. Front squats + chains bar,135,185,225x5 275x3 225x5
  2. Zercher squats + chains 135,225x5 315x3
  3. T-handle swings 50x150 total reps
  4. Twist ab exercise x 3 sets

I had more in me with the zerchers but I put my belt on with 315 and couldn’t breath. So no belt when I do zerchers.

315 x 3 zercher’s are very adequate. Lot of highlander competitors love T handle throwing.

Thanks Harry. And what’s this about t-handle throwing? I can visualize how destroyed my lawn will be if I start that.

Great practice. Most throwers in the HG have made their own TBars. Great for building specific strength especially in the 56# weight over bar, the 56 & 28# weight for distance and the caber. Here’s a older pix of my home weight over bar set up and throwing the 28# weight for distance. You can see how the T bar throws would help.

Ok the stones are pretty cool.

Awesome pictures Harry. You are a stud. Thank you for sharing. You’ve definitely got me wanting to throw something.

Stones are fun Crippler. I’m sure you’d have a good time with them.

Puttin up 355. If memory serves me the last meet you did you went 405. You train for it bet you can beat that.

I’m hoping to bench more than 405 someday Harry. But if better do it quick I’m getting mature quickly.
