Maybe I will ask around see where that equipment may have gone. I pulled the new toys out and gave them a try tonight.

1b. 5 sets face pulls, 5 sets bb rows, 5 sets chin ups
2a. Rope pushdowns 3 sets
2b. Db curls 3 sets

I like the bench with chains. The weights were all with the 50!lbs of chains added. I watched a couple videos on how to set up the chains. I think I did it correctly. Almost no chain weight at the bottom and all the chain weight at the top.

Paul, things are good. I signed up for another RPS meet in December. Same guy and his wife are running it. I’m just waiting for my email confirmation.

I like chains with squats as much as I did with bench. That’s my ghetto squat box. A 15’’ log that was in my fire pit. I weighed the chains and each side weighs 45 lbs but I figure there’s some chain on the floor all the time so I only added 35 lbs each side. I thought it was funny I had to really think about what plates I needed to use for each weight. The bar weighs 55 lbs and the chains 70. So something like 365 isn’t 3 45’s and a 25 on each side. It’s 2 45s, 1 25 and a 5. Too much thinking involved.

I think I read don’t go overboard with chains if you’re new to them. But screw that I’m using them on everything. I underestimated the chain weight for MP today. But I’m going to keep the setup the same for a couple more weeks. Usually I do pulls after every set of pushes but I didn’t have it in me tonight.

I think you should trademark Log squats !! Steve- Is the RPS meet up your way or down by us flatlanders?

Maybe I will trademark that. But it’ll be hard to make money with everyone just grabbing them out of the woods. The meet is up in Lebanon, NH. An hour and a half (north) for me.

I’ve bench 420 in my basement a couple years ago and 405 in competition three or 4 times. So I’m hoping to bench at least 410 this next meet.

Got outside this morning for some conditioning. Walking and hill sprints. I’m calling them sprints because I had cleats on not because of the (lack of) speed.

All the weights were with the 70 added. I didn’t feel like taking the chains off so I did GMs with them.
My oldest squatted with me so I didn’t use my scheduled weights and used the 17’’ box. It was easier to change the weights each set.

Those are some big time squats. Also, there is nothing better than training with your kids. With my son in college, I miss that. My daughter is in school when I train, so she’s out. Great training.

Thanks crippler. It’s a bit more work but I do enjoy working out with my boys.

I need to stop reading Craig’s list everyday. I keep buying stuff.
