I was watching a youtube video with Mark Bell and Ed Coan using the sling shot. Coan said it helped with his shoulder pain so I pulled out the benchdaddy to see if it would do the same for me. Ed was right it made my shoulders feels much better.
Didn’t feel like doing this one tonight (seems to happen a lot). But I watched a CT Fletcher documentary last night. So I had no good excuse not to workout.
Football ended yesterday so my son wanted to get back to lifting hard and heavy right away. So we headed to the strongman/powerlifting gym this morning with one of his friends. I was pumped to use the yoke and stones. Once again the yoke was buried with cobwebs on it. I don’t think it had been used since I pulled it out over the summer. Kainen hasn’t lifted that much since football started in August but he pulled 405x3 fairly easily. So he should be pulling 500+ in no time. The yoke walks really showed how out of shape I’m in. After the trip with 585 I had to lie on the floor for several minutes catching my breath. I may have pushed myself really hard because I had my son and his friend expecting me to be a beast.

My oldest pulled 455 fairly easily last night. His weights are already almost back to pre -football season numbers.
I tried a bunch of stuff tonight seeing if anything agreed with my shoulder: reverse grip bench, football bar, football bar with benchdaddy, benchdaddy with 3 block. Nothing worked so I need to suck it up and take a couple weeks off from pressing. Work on my pulling and squats.
Paul, let me just get to a 601 pull and we’ll see from there.
Mini, I work with doctors. Does that count? I do cardiac and vascular ultrasounds. And I’ve only pulled 600 once at the meet Paul and I were at in April. I wish 700.
Kevin,I’m just saying no to bench and MP for a couple weeks. See what happens. My son has the young guy new lifter strength gains. I’m jealous.
