New Hampshire Lifter II

ut oh, someone is going to get strong (er)

^Yep. I would drive whatever distance it takes to train there.

Are you taking your son with you?

Looks like a place that you would love!

This is a very cool gym but a 70 minute round trip will keep it from being a regular thing. And Kainen likes the place as well so weā€™ll buddy up every time I go. I really want to try the yoke walk the next time I go. I forgot to mention they have dbs up to 200 lbs.

Sorry but I did a little jogging. Please donā€™t judge me harshly.

Jogging? Was someone chasing you? If not, you are dead to meā€¦
If so, lucky for them that they didnā€™t catch you.

Well I suppose it is good to have the ability to chase someone or run away from someone when you need to. But thatā€™s called sprinting not jogging, priorities please. Also good to know if you are ever hanging off a building or cliff, that you can pull yourself up.

Iā€™ve never seen 200 lb dumbbells. Youā€™re gonna break some records lifting at that place.

My neighbor sent me this picture she took of me jogging.

Boys had a 9:30 PM hockey game. Didnā€™t get to bed until midnight. I think theyā€™re trying to kill me.

What a wonderful neighbor!

My, you have aged since Iā€™ve seen you last !

LOLā€¦too much hair and not enough legs.

Kainen and I hit the cool gym in Concord earlier today. I felt great but missed deadlifting 545. It just wouldnā€™t come off the floor today. Iā€™d never used the yoke before. What a crazy exercise. I felt like I was walking and wrestling with the contraption. Definitely different than a farmers carry. We looked online when we left and the yoke weighs 185 lbs. So what I thought was around 405 was 545 which made me feel less like a sissy. And I donā€™t think anyone uses the yoke. The were spider webs on it. I brought my wrist straps so I could row the 200 lb db.

semi-sumo deads 135x2,185x2,225x2,275x2,315x2,365x2,405x2,455x2,495x1,545x0,0
several yoke walks with 4 plates and 1 trip with 8 plates
stone lifts 155,175,205 x a few singles each
1 arm db row 200x5 (with wrist straps)

You are just really super strong. That 200-lb DB: Does it have a super thick grip area? We have one of those big DBs in my gym (not sure the weight) but the grip width is so damn wide that I canā€™t imagine anyone could get a hand around it to lift it!

Yep I bet the word sissy comes to all our minds when we read your log

Sissy ! hahahaā€¦ your own private yoke very coolā€¦I have nothing more to sayā€¦a 200lb db rowā€¦thatā€™s me and 30lb db to bootā€¦hope all is well, Steve!

KP, Iā€™ve seen those circus dbs but all of the dbs at this gym have normal grip width. Next time I want to try to do a set of Kroc rows with a 200.

Minimaltec, I am emotionally fragile.

Paul, it appears no one likes the yoke. Glad I could show it some love.

FAAAACK!!! Those a really, really big lifts.

Biker, now I need to do some db press with the 200ā€™sā€¦not in this life time.

Canada_K, thank you sir. I overdid it a little though and have taken the past couple days off to recoup.
