The bench-row combo might be my favorite workout.

    3b. sit-ups 3 sets

I haven’t pulled from the floor or done ‘regular’ squats for quite a bit. It showed. My pull was weak and my joints did not like squatting to depth. Complaining aside it was a good workout.

17’’ box ssb squats are so much easier than straight bar full squats. Don’t feel like they’re related.

I’ve noticed on internet that some really strong guys are using SSB bars for 4 plate lifts.

Steve! Nice to see you are still at it! I guess some things never change.

What could make a Thursday night better than 2 board bench pressing?

Thought some more about that 315x5 on push press. That is stout! Sure, the legs help get the weight up, but the getting the weight back down to a position for a follow-up rep (or in this case 4)…that is tough. That’s a lot of weight coming down high up on a standing body.

Much respect!

When did 400 lbs get this heavy?

400# has always been heavy…just not to you!

Just checked out the video. He powered through it no problem. Does he ever do straight up military press? Looking at his setup, when he unracks it, he has great form for it. Heck, 315# never looked that light in my hands!
How old is your son?

Just an off day. Don’t let it bother you.

Chip, Kainen is 22. I’m not sure of his strict press max but did sets with up to 275 today I believe.

Mac, I’m just getting old. And that’s ok with me .
