Cambered bar squats: 85x10 175x5 225x5 265x5 315x5 265x5 175x5
This is the first time I’ve squatted without a box for a long time. My hips really felt the stretch. And today is my birthday. Turned 51. Didn’t hurt a bit. I only cried a little.
If I could just stop eating ice cream and drinking booze the ‘getting in shape’ process would move a lot quicker. But I’ll let you know when I get there.
I had an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon today about my elbow. An X-ray showed bone spurs and a bunch of arthritis. I’m getting a CT to get a better look and figure what my options are. I had a cortisone shot to see if would help. Get back to it tomorrow.
The first 4 or 5 sets of the yoke carry-jump-jump rope were almost supersets. Just enough time to walk form exercise to exercise. After that I caught my breath a little between exercises.

My oldest was working out and wanted me to hangout with him. So I just kept working out.

Met with the surgeon today. The CT showed my elbow pain and lack of mobility are two separate issues. The pain is from arthritis. The lack of mobility is from abnormal bone growth. I’m going to manage my pain with occasional cortisone shots and cutting down on heavy pressing. Going to put off surgery until my range of motion is a little more restricted.
