New Hampshire Lifter II

I never get outside to workout anymore so I brought two stones downstairs. Quite a project getting them downstairs. A workout in itself. This is something I’ve wanted to do for awhile now.

12/23
Kids had a game and I had to work the ticket booth so I hit the gym at work.
1a. Shld press machine 8 sets
1b. Pull ups 8 sets

12/24
Sldl 3.5’’ deficit 135x5 185x3 225x3 275x3 315x3 365x3 405x1
Wanted to do more but food and drink called me away.

12/25
Get stones from outside to downstairs.
1a. cgb 315x5x3
1b. stone lifts 6 sets
10 minutes stationary bike

12/30

  1. trapbar deadlift high handles 135,185,225,275,315,365,405,455x5 (no belt)
  2. stone lifts 5 sets
  3. db rows 150x12,6

Been studying a bunch for a registry I took and passed today. Big weight off my shoulders. So I celebrated with some trap bar, stones and rows.

Congratulations on passing and solid lifting as always sir.

Thanks. Hope you have a great New Years.

1a. 1st rep clean + presses 135x2x5 155x5 175x5 185x3 205x3 185x5 135x15+
1b. chin-up 7 sets with BW, 1 set with BW+50
2a. straight bar curls 65x10 85x8 105x5 125x5 145x4(a little swinging with this set)
2b. dips BWx5x10

The wine and excess Chinese food last night has me a little tired today. So this was a forced march workout. My oldest was benching in the rack so I had to clean the weight with the shoulder press.

I alternated 3 rep sets between regular deads and trapbar deads. I set up at the 30 second mark of every minute for 30 minutes. Except for the last 3 sets I did with little to no rest. So I finished closer to 28 minutes. No belt.

I was feeling like a slob after the gluttony of the past week. This workout made me feel much better.

1a. deadlift 315x15x3
1b. high handle trap bar 405x15x3

Happy new year brother

Thanks Matty. Glad to see you.

1a. cgb 315x15x3
1b. bb rows 275x12x3 275x3x5
2. straight bar curl 65x10 85x10 105x5 115x3 105x5 85x10 65x10

Most sets for cgb and rows started on the 30 second mark. I made the mistake at set 5 or 6 of only waiting 30 seconds between sets. Made the rest of cgb tough. Finished cgb and rows in around 28 minutes.

Not sure what happened but my NHLFTR profile no longer works and my old profile ecogenx that stopped working is working. So I guess I’m ecogenx again.

Added two 100 lbs olympic plates and a triceps bar to the weightlifting family today.

you can get strong just putting the 100;s on and off the bar…

how far are you from New Market NH?

I didn’t write it in my workout but I did carry a new plate around to finish my workout. Friggin’ heavy.

I live 1-1:15 hours from New Market. A meet over there or something?

Just went through the motions. I think I overdid it with the stones yesterday. Still a little fatigued.

April 23rd and RPS meet

You’ve peaked my curiosity. May have to bench and deadlift only if I partake in the event.

Did some light squatting tonight because I haven’t for a while. Easy peasy but my left low back was tiiiigggghhhhttttt.

Definitely jealous of your 100s there. Congrats on the big plates. I used to love to do stiff deads standing on a 100 lbs plate but I haven’t been able to get any 100s yet. Nice lifting in here.

Thanks GV. Got them off craig’s list for 87.5 cents a pound. The best price new I could find new was $1.15 a pound. So I was happy with the price. Used them tonight for trap bar rows.
