Thanks for the great information. So you’re the Hoosier who played ball? What kind of info do you have for strength and conditioning for 12-14 year old basketball players who play at the AAU level(meaning) they play basketball almost exclusively, unfortunately)?

Well, here are just a few things off the top of my head:

1 - Put a premium on all types of flexibility and mobility (static, dynamic, PNF, etc.)

2 - Start with bodyweight exercises and progress them naturally to the weightroom. Once you get them in the weightroom, focus on perfect technique with little or no weight.

3 - Try and get them off the court at certain times in the year. Sport specialization at too early of an age can lead to injuries, peaking too soon, and burnout.
