Just wondering if you know if any work has been done on the effect of sympathetic vs parasympathetic activation and training. Obviously skeletal muscle is innervated via sympathetic means; however, parasympathetic activity may still be occuring else where in the body (e.g. the CNS) at the same time.
It appears the high intensity “perfect rep” training attitude will likely put the body in a heightened sense of sympathetic activity and reducing para-symp. So is there a correlation between training under sympathetic control and muscle hypertrophy?
