Stupid question but my friend is taking test E and I told him he needs a 23 gauge 1.5 in needle. He didn't listen to me and he said all he can get was a 29 gauge and .5 in needle. Is that .5 in needle okay or not? He said it goes in perfectly fine and nothing leaks out when he shoots it.
Well, it depends on how fat he is, what injection site he’s using, and how many mL’s. If it’s a really small amount per injection, like 1/2 mL, he’s totally fine no matter what, as test E can be used subcutaneously. If it’s a higher amount, then injection sites with less fat would be preferential, such as delts. I only use 5/8 myself, because I’m very lean, and that’s a sufficient length for me at most sites. If your friend is fat, he should get some longer pins. I’m guessing he got insulin pins? That’s the easiest thing to get over the counter. If he wants something else, he should order online.
Also, your ‘friend’ is you. We’re not stupid.
No he’s pretty lean he’s doing in the quad area. And No its actually really for a friend. But thanks

Is he a child? Why can’t he find this information himself or ask himself? Doesn’t make sense he’d reach out to a buddy just for a simple needle size question.
I use 29" .5g
