Need Some Direction On Building

Hello folks!

Total noob here :-(

I am 16 y/o male, about 135 - 140 lbs, 5’7.

I really want to start building muscle and such but I dont know where to start.

I currently do Cardio 2-3 times a week.

I am not trying to eliminate junk crap out of my diet and try to eat more whole foods, atleast as much as possible.

But where do I start? I am pretty weak for my age. Should I use dumbells? Machines? Something else? Kind of alone on this one unless you know some place or person I can go to get help with strength training.

To add to my problems, I am also a Type 1 Diabetic :-/.

1st stop is the threads pinned above on this forum ALL the info and linked articles they will give you a base of knowledge and direction. Then come back with more directed ?'s

Do you have a doctor that you usually visit? Have him (or her) refer you to a dietician or nutritionist. Then you can discuss with them your goals and how to achieve them. Safely.

There are some bodybuilders out there that have built some massive, ripped physiques with type 1 Diabetes.
