After 3 months of bulking and westside i was able to overhaul my form on both bench and squat (at least for the most part) and got my numbers back up to where they were. Now Im cutting for 2 months, and was wondering what would be a good routine to use. I noticed that my training capacity is pretty low, so something with high volume to stimulate this would be a plus. Also, I, like everyone else, would like to add size and strength in large amounts.
Well not to sound like a broken record but if your “training capacity” is low I would say maybe try one of CW’s programs, in which the frequency in which you hit a muscle group is raised to 2 - 3 times a week.
That or add in GPP/Strong man work. Go dig a hole .
Just a couple things to think about.
I was thinking last night, and DeFranco’s “Westside for Skinny Bastards” hit me as a plausible idea. It has more of a focus on reps (ie ME days with a max set of 3-5) than the beasts at Westside. Plus, there is lots of volume. Would that work?
