I was thinking of trying to bake up a batch of breakfast bar type thingies using oatmeal and maybe some fruit. It seems some sort of oil is typically used to keep things together. The problem is I'm trying to avoid fat in the recipe.
Anyone know of a supstitute for oil that'll help keep the ingredients intact?
I was thinking maybe egg whites or maybe some sort of fruit puree.
Anyone ever tried something like this in the past?
