Even though I’m retracting my shoulders, I’m getting pain and tightness in the back of my neck and head after the big lifts…tried both front and back squats. I think it has to do with my very weak core, what do you think?
Where are you looking? Forward? Up? Down?
Head positioning can make a difference in terms of head and neck tension.
Sounds like you’re looking up too much. If you look straight ahead, you will notice a big difference in tightness and will be able to make a better shelf for the bar.
