NB3's Overhead Press Squat

Hey all, I’m starting CW’s Next Big 3 program today. Last week, I tried the overhead press-squat, and had quite a bit of trouble. I searched and found a reference to a “contract/relax stretching technique” from an old Branding Iron article. Anyone know where I might find that? Can’t find anything using the archives or the search engine (on that particular article).

First off, use a wider grip position on the bar than recommended if your shoulders are tight.

Here’s the contract relax technique:

Perform a pec stretch against a doorway or wall corner. Press against the wall (fly technique) for 5-6 seconds, rest briefly, repeat for 4-5 more cycles before performing the exercise.
