Nationalism - What Do You Think?

How old are you? Seriously, you sound like you’re 18 at most and that you live with your parents.

What… The… Fuck

Did it leave off the two most important things? Coke and hookers.

Unfortunately, I believe so. Really throws a wrench into any comparison.

This is the clincher - crime rate, something that kid still cannot comprehend

Seriously, the biggest issue are punitive socialist taxes - if you’re an employer you basically cannot pay your employee more than 65-70k USD per year which comes, depending on the number of hers/his dependents and the tax code bracket, around 40k/year after taxes. After that it’s getting ludicrous because for the equivalent of one dollar raise for your employee you have to pay the equivalent of four dollars to the state.

So your sought after senior engineer or a SW developer will simply drive five hours up north to Germany and get at least twice or twice and half as much money for the same job.

And this outflow of university educated high earners is having a massive negative effect on the economy, but as long you’ve got sun, the beaches and the laid-back lifestyle people don’t care enough to effect a change in the grand scheme of things.

For an American transplant with an American salary, it’s probably alongside Melania’s Slovenia one of the best bang-for-your-buck locations to live in Europe.

People allegedly complain about the high prices for both. I blame the Value Added Tax

Sounds like a winner to me. I could get by linguistic-ally. A little pad by the sea, some good Croatian cooking… I could dig it.

Pretty much everyone speaks English, so no problems there.

The only issue I see that it’s already turning into yet another European Florida with retired Brits and Scandinavians buying up property en masse.

For gentlemen who prefer…ahem…pursuits typical for single gentlemen, nothing beats Ukraine, Kiev in particular. The city is clean and pleasant and with an American salary there you can experience how billionaires usually live - all on a very reasonable budget.

What about Russian gangsters?

A lot of luxury villas owned by the Russians, but no shootings/murders.

Apparently, both Croatia and Montenegro further south are off limits for biznyis because many Russian businessmen keep their families(and yachts, mistresses…) in the pleasant climate and away from Russia year-round.

And you don’t want your kid to catch a stray bullett while you’re doing biznyis.

IDK about coke but your average call girl is 400kn for 30mins and 600kn for an hour - on her place.

Some are more expensive, 500kn for 30mins and 700kn for an hour but they are 10/10.

  • you also get to take a shower at their place, and no, that is not counting in your time, so you have your time after you take your shower

Is this for serious written by guy who is happy that his country is still richer than few African countries? Instead of wanting something like German standards… Now you will tell again “We have lower crime rate than Brazil” LOL

  • while ignoring everything that you dislike to read…

Also IDK if this has any connection with original topic of this thread…

But I already follow “German standards”

A couple of points:

  • You can’t legislate top-down into prosperity, especially if you personally abhor a 50 hour work week

  • Incomes in Germany proper are a distribution function, there are winners and losers there

  • Don’t expect the government to sort your life out, especially in terms of financial decisions

  • Don’t pay for prostitutes when you’re 18, that’s messed up. And better condom up playa or you’ll get something nasty
