My Stomach Not Producing Acid!!!

So I have been taking HCL, started off with 1, moved up to 2,3, etc and now I just took 5 pills yesterday of a supplement (containing 650MG of bataine HCL and 162mg of pepsin per capsule) and I still haven’t felt the warm sensation as if I just drank tea. What could be wrong? Do I have achlorhydria? Also I take the pills in the middle of the meal.

The stats:
22 Years old
173 lbs (cutting)
Ectomorph,
Decent amount of fat in the abdominal region
Diet is clean
Also take a probiotic

Reason number one most of you need to try going to a college level course in biology before you worry about which guru you listen to.

Your entire post makes ZERO sense.

Seriously man… WTF… HCL Isn’t needed at all. your body has an endless supply of HCL in your stomach as long as your human and eat food.

If you’re that worried about being fat, go do some cardio for gods sake, because your retarded if you think that superdosing HCL will get the fat off of your stomach.

Also, ectomorph and “Fat on abdominal area” contradict eachother.

Ectomorph and fat on abdominal area is known around here as skinny-fat…you know, the skinny guy with the pot belly. Makes complete sense. What he is referring to is trying to follow Poliquin’s stomach acid program/thingy, trying to determine if his stomach is producing enough acid to breakdown food. I think you are supposed to take the pills first.

Just get the Heidelberg test done…it’s usually covered by insurance and will let you know for sure…

What makes you think you are hypochloridic?

Gee, no shit?

Someone who is unaware that his stomach is producing HCL doesn’t need to be taking a damn thing.

I already know about Poliquin and this issue…which he got schooled on by an actual specialist in the field of digestive anatomy and physiology.

Lets get one thing clear, I am not relying on HCL to get rid of the fat, I’m more worried about not having adequate stomach acid (HCL) for the purpose of processing food. You also mentioned that Charles got schooled on this topic, would appreciate if you actually post a link.

Meal related burping. (constant thing)
Bloating
Tiny white spots on some finger nails (some are barely visible)
Sometimes drowsiness after meals.

Well then I’d probably get it checked out like Rehabman said.

Doesn’t matter what you think.

Skinny fat = Easy Fat Storage = Endomorph

Ectomorphs have a hard time putting on ANY weight and lose fat FAST

Endomorphs put on fat easily, and that doesnt mean you have to be a big circular tub of lard to be one.

Excess Fat Storage = Endomorphic metabolism.

Instead of Self Daignosing yourself, why not get a food allergy test. You could very well be allergic to some of the normal food you eat, and therefore not absorbing it.

IE: Me, I’m allergic to lactose, so i make sure the protein shakes i get are very low in lactose content. I also have a hard time if i have an abundance of nuts/seeds.

go to an allergist, it might clear it all up.
