Bit of a short session today, just got done what I could in the time I had. Bench felt really good today setup wise but my elbows started playing up around the last set of 115kg.
Woke up at 95.8kg this morning, and I can actually see a visual difference from where I started 4-5 weeks ago!
Not sure whats going on really because I’ve eaten way over the last couple of days so was expecting to have gained a little. I’m on a settled, frequent TRT dose now so maybe thats contributing somehow, because the fat just seems to be melting away.
CG Bench 102.5kg 3x6
BB Inc Bench 80kg 3x8
DB OHP 25kg 3x10, 30kg x10
Dips BW + 20kg 4x8
Straight Bar Pressdowns 12 plates 4x12
Alt DB Hammer Curls 20kg 3x10
I’ve hurt my back a little so Squats and Deads are out of the question at the moment, as is Benching with my feet under me. I’m seeing a Chiropractor next Friday so hopefully that will help.
I think its my SI Joint thats out if alignment again, as I’m getting lower back pain on 1 side, and hip / outer leg pain on the opposite side.
Silver Lining, I Benched with my feet out wide today rather than tucked under me and I felt a lot more stable.
Had my Chiro appointment today and holy crap my hips were screwed! They were so out of line that 1 leg was longer than the other! After twisting me around and popping things back into place I feel a lot better, I’ve got another session in a week or 2 to make sure things are still where theyr supposed to be, but for now my back pain has gone!
I’ve spent the last 4-5 days in bed, barely eating and doing very little apart from sleeping. I’m finally getting over the Flu virus I managed to pick up. It’s been a rough few days but I’m back to training now.
First Lower day, 2nd warmup set and my SI Joint has slipped out again, I get all the luck have to smile or I’d cry.
Not going to be logging anymore, I’m going to try other activities for a while, Powerlifting seems to be nothing but injuries lately, so I’m calling it a day!
Ever try a chiropractor? Some are shit but some work. Tried it when I had no where to go and fixed my shoulder after it was hurting for 2 months. Had to go in last night cause my hip was acting up and feels much better already.
Well instead of getting out of it completely just work with very light weight for a month or two. It’s better to do that than actual rest from what I hear. Then you can decide and see what happens
Might be a dumb idea but have you considered using briefs? They support the hips a ton. I don’t think it’d be too complicated to implement them.
For instance, you’d squat almost entirely in briefs, but your assistance would be skewed towards making you as strong in the bottom as possible (front squats, ab work, paused squats in the briefs, split squats, lunges, etc).
Backs still causing issues mate, cant deadlift at all, body weight back raises is about my limit, and I also cant squat low bar pain free, high bar seems fine so far though.
Things are going pretty decent, I’m still dropping weight at a steady pace but since doing the higher rep work I’ve noticed my shoulders and traps seem to have ‘popped’ a little bit, so I’m happy with that.
Just doing a Legs / Push / Pull / Rest split at the moment, heavy compounds for 4x4-6, then lots of higher rep stuff… and Im enjoying it so far.
