My Quest For Strength

#992

But I can’t do the program! Haha.

#993

It’s not just about that, deep water is as mental as it is physical. Theirs alot more information than just the programs. Perhaps everyday you’re in deep water from your sickness but continuing everyday is swimming to the other side

#994

If I’m honest…most of my training is done in deep water.

#995

Well, the nutritionist I just talked to was a complete waste of time and money. He wants me to eat an 800-calorie diet for the foreseeable future. Not happening. I will pass out and die.

Bench

45 x 2 x 5
95 x 5
115 x 3
135 x 2
155 x 1
165 x 5

3-board

135 x 3
155 x 5
145 x 6
145 x 5
135 x 7
135 x 6

50 chin-ups
Ab Wheel 1 x 10
Dimel DL 165 x 10
50 Dips

All in all not horrible, could have been worse. Left a few in the tank on everything. Had 1-2 left on bench and at least a rep for most of the 3-board work. Did this at 5 AM off a banana while not feeling good, so it could have been much worse.

Symptoms worsening, weight loss occurring. Cutting down on accessories, seeing a doctor, thinking it’s IBD. If so, at least I know

Decent workout today, matched a PR. Lost tightness in the hole, got folded on the last rep. Still sick, but feeling a bit better today. I have to pull and press tomorrow, because unfortunately one of my mom’s relatives died and we have to go to New Hampshire for the wake. Went light on accessories.

Has anyone ever heard of Dr. Fred Bisci?

Box Squat

45 x 2 x 5
135 x 5
185 x 3
225 x 2
265 x 1
295 x 7 (got folded on rep 8, lost tightness at the bottom)

GM — 2 x 5 @ 185
Speed DL — 180 x 5 x 1 w/ light band
Dimel DL — 3 x 10 x 205

Having to travel for a wake is a bummer man. Where in NH are you going? I grew up there.

#1001

What reason did he give you?

#1002

Well, after we came to the understanding that he did not, in fact, want me to starve myself, he simply told me not to overeat, eat 3 meals a day, and eat one food per meal. Fine. Not too bad. I can manage that.

#1003

Honestly…not sure. Haven’t found out yet, haha.

#1004

Much more manageable :joy:. I hope it helps you out mate

#1005

Thanks mate, me too. Going to get some tests done Monday, I just may come out of this with some long-term medication. Relying on drugs sucks but I’d rather live to 65 pain free than 80 in pain.

#1006

I think that’s a good outlook to have

#1007

Great view on this brother, best wishes!

#1008

Thanks brother.

#1009

Okay workout today. Had diarrhea midway through, then I hit a Deadlift PR. Had another in the tank. Unfortunately, I fucked up the video angle.

There’s a guy at the gym right now that looks a lot like you lol

#1011

I can guarantee you that I am not him, haha.

Well, tomorrow is the day where I find out what’s been killing me/ruining my life for the past year. I really can’t believe I’ve been sick every single day for 9 months straight…and I managed to survive through it. Now to survive the side effects of whatever medications I have to be placed on…and trying not to screw up my relationships/be self-destructive/fail the SAT/blow my head off during that time. Very, very precarious time. Could make or absolutely shatter my existence. I’m scared.
