My Experience On EDT

Hello All

I hope to show you my progess of my EDT experience.

My first workout today (21 nov 07)

A1. Chin (Reps were 3,3,3,3,2,2,2,1,1)(20)
A2. Dips (Reps were 5,5,5,5,5,4,3,3,1) (36)

B1. Curl (Reps were 5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5)(70)
B2. Tricep Ext (Reps were 5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5)(65)

C. Deadlift (5x60kg, 5x60kg, 5x70kg, 5x80kg, 5x80kg)

Chins and Dips were bodyweight only
Curls and Tricep Ext were with 18Kg (To light)

I am currently on the cutting phase of the Anabolic diet to slim down down a little. But January onwards will go onto the Mass phase.
Will do more posts when i have alittle more time.

I had bad experience supersetting chins and dips in EDT because they both recruit my lats and they don’t get rest so my numbers go down.


This is me on September the 6th. Started Diet Sept 7th.

Me weighing 12st 12ibs now. Loss 25ibs so far.

That is a nice tactical move of using the spawn to hide your belly. Good job on the weight loss though and good luck with your training.

Thanks Scott. You can see my muffin tops. But belly hide by my son Matt. We were on holiday in ibiza. Slimming down for next holiday at lanzarote in Feb.

I bought the EDT book to read. I may try it out this coming summer after my current routine gets stale. I’ll keep an eye here to see how you like it. Good Luck and congrats on the weight loss so far.

Looking back over the last month.
Currently have lose 30Ibs and at 16% bodyfat.

I will add Squats once a week 5x5 and alternate with the deadlifts. Add some more weight to dips, curls and ext. I will also have a update photo beginning of Feb.

markandspike am i reading this rt you are doing only 5 exercises? how many times a week? thinking about starting edt trying to find the best exercises to give it a shot.

I am mainly focussing on weight loss at minute so limiting my total volume. I got the routine from RepGasm: The EDT Upper-Body Growth Explosion by Charles Staley (see my profile for the link).

Just read The Ultimate Guide. to Massive Arms: Escalating Density Training. Volume I: Arms. By Charles Staley. I found the book about of a disappointment. I know Charles has to make a living but this book could have been boiled down to a 2 page article on T-Nation.

I am now upto
35 bodyweight chins
34 Dips with 10kg.
38 curls with 35kg but slower neg tempo
38 Tri Ext with 27.5kg but slower neg tempo.
