My ART Experience

Hey everyone hope all is well. Within the next few weeks I will be seeing an ART specialist( and Chiro) for the first time.

My specific areas of rehab will be first and formost my left elbow. I dislocated it about 11 years ago diving for a football at practice. I developed alot of scar tissue and slight swelling in the area.

Secondly will be my middle back. All the years of busing dishes and constant BJJ, mostly with some giant 250 pound guy stuck in my guard, have taken a toll and my middle back area is quite tight.

3rd, Im starting to develop what I think is the beginning stages of plantar fascittis, in both feet. Years upon years of sprints in ice, snow, rain or sleet, plus my love of barefoot trail running have also added up.

Anyhoot Im sure some are interested in ART. I’ll be posting up my experiences here.

Good luck with that. I too discovered ART maybe 2 years ago and it works well. Like you my ART guy is a chiropractor as well.
I too had some foot issues. One thing my ART started me on was orthotics[sp] and they have helped quite a bit.

What surprised me about ART is sometimes relieving a sore body part does not even involve the suspected sore body part. Countless times I’ve gone in complaining of low back problems which I assume are my erectors. Never once have my erectors been worked on directly. After a spine adjustment and maybe a hip adjustment its my glutes that usually get worked on. Sure as shit it works ever time.

Good Luck and happy healing
