I liked it, but then again I am a fan of Queen, classical music, and any song with obligatory crowd chants. Muse has always been a mix of hard rock and cheesier stadium rock, not too surprised they made this kind of album though Bellamy really embraced his classical training writing a three part symphony for the end of the album.
Not my favorite Muse album since it was lacking in the face melting rock department, but a solid effort nonetheless that shouldn’t be treated as some insane departure for the group.

But it is an insane departure. It’s soft as shit. Bellamy doesn’t even try to sing on this one. Even the guitar is pussed out or nonexistent. There are no dark, lasting melodies, air-rending vocals, or clever, meaningful lyrics on this album. Seriously, brother, since when does Muse write such trite, boring lyrics?

ok we get it, you don’t like it. Don’t listen if it bothers you that much. [/quote]
It really pisses me off when people pull this shit. I want to discuss how awful the album is, compared to the band’s previous work, and what this may or may not portend for the band’s future work, while also expressing my discontent over said awfulness. I thought that was obvious.
