Muscle Milk vs Ultra Peptide

Besides price…which is better? I will be drinking them before bed only…maybe during the day sometimes. Is there something else that I can drink that’s better? The reason I drink peptide is for the casein protein to keep me fueled throughout the night when I’m sleeping. Any suggestions?

I can’t speak for Peptide, but if you search for Muscle Milk on here, you’ll find Dave Barr’s article on why the stuff isn’t the best option.

Really? Metabolic Drive Complete does? I actually really enjoy the taste. I just bought some MM the other day because I ran out before my Biotest order came in and I hated the MM. I finished it because I had paid for it, but it was way too sweet for me. I also got headaches from it. I know some people who like it but in a taste test alone Id pick Metabolic Drive Complete (Vanilla, BTW.)

If I wanted to eat good tasting canola oil and sunflower oil I woult eat some chips

I agree best tasting protein blend ever! Not exactly ideal for before bed though

I am not going to pretend to be an expert but…
Depends on what your goals are, For me, I always like Vanilla Metabolic Drive Complete with about 20oz of milk. It has 8grams of fiber along with casien protien which slows down the absorbtation(spl?) rate even more.

I have tried Muscle Milk and it tasted good but didn’t sit well with my stomach. I also couldn’t recomend a protien powder with canola oil in it, not saying I wouldn’t drink it if I was giving some…

I have never tried Ultra Peptide so I can not say anything about it.

you can always just eat some cottage cheese as well, I used to mix some cottage cheese natural peanut butter and 1 scoop of choclate protien powder together. It works good I just got tired of eating before bed and prefer to get the food down quick with a shake.

I hate cottage cheese man. Cant stand the stuff! Any others?

You may not like it it doesn’t mean others feel the same. Metabolic Drive Complete is my preference over others. I love the taste. Kind of rude of you to be taking potshots at it when you are on Biotest’s site. You could have said it’s not your ideal or better yet not said anything.

You can get used to it, high in casien protien.

What are your goals? muscle gain, fat loss, etc?

Both Metabolic Drive Complete and Low-Carb Metabolic Drive contain large amounts of micellar casein, in addition to conventional casein and whey.

This stuff (micellar casein) is very cool for a lot of reasons, but the fact that it’s really slowly absorbed makes it an ideal bedtime snack. Amino acid levels in the blood remain high for up to 7 hours–all night long.

I HATE cottage cheese. It’s the ONLY food whose taste, in and of itself, triggers my gag reflex. However, mixing it with peanut butter and protein powder makes it a tasty, satisfying treat. I feel incredibly satisfied after eating. It works wonders for curbing ice cream cravings.
