Muscle Fiber Force Production

Hey guys,

I have a midterm tommorrow, and going through a practise exam, there is one question I can’t find the answer to:

Which of the following INDIVIDUAL muscle fiber alignment will exhibit the greatest force production capabilities?

a. fusiform

b. unipennate 5º angle

c. unipennate 15º angle

d. unipennate 30º angle

Unipennate seems to be able to produce more force than unipennate, because a larger number of fibers are concentrated on the tendon. I can’t find anything talking about specific angles though. It seemed to imply that there was a force tradeoff as the angle became higher. So would I be correct in saying the answer is B?
