Kazaa and Morpheus, man what a bunch of fuckers. Filetopia is a nice simple program with poor music selection. Any dalnet client such as mIRC will be your best bet.
Winmx is the best there is. But make sure you download the old 2.6 version, their latest version restricts your searches to a local region rather than world wide like the old one.
I’m at work most of the day, and damnit, I NEED music. But the problem is if I download Kazaa or anything like that, the professors will flip because “I might get a virus” in their multimillion dollar lab. Is there a site where I can download straight off the web?
I use limewire it works well can’t ever get shut down as it is based in another country I beleive and you can download all the porn you want along with mp3’s. Type in debbie diamond in the video search function when you get limewire and gasp in amazement at the power of the internet.
Found a way to disable Cydoor and still use Kazaa Spyware and advertisement free:
Dummy files for neutering Spyware-based programs
You run ad-aware then copy the .dll into windows\system and it will work with no cydoor and no ads.

Bearshare is what i’m using now. So far so good, finding the files i want, no problems closing program like with limewire (which sucks can’t find anything on limewire).I did have Kazaa which managed to put a worm in my system - big problems resulted from that let me tell you - it screwed up my whole computer. Beware of that program.
Damn, that pissed me off when Audiogalaxy stopped working, it really was great. Now I use iMesh, but the selection isn’t the greatest.
I got most of my MP3’s from either Audiogalaxy or from the GNU network using Gnucleus though Limewire is quite good also.
I use morpheous butI yearn for the good old days of super fast down loads on Napster.
