So on the one hand… A bunch of froot loops doin froot loopy things…

On the other hand…

How is this for some ‘primal movement’ candidates: climb, jump, throw, walk, run, crawl etc…

?

I guess physical therapy is going to corrupt me…

I got out my vibrams and leaped about on a bit of wood today…

and then i had to pick up some heavy (for me) shit because i felt like a wuss.

Interesting. Seeing as how you posted this in the Over 35 forum, I can attest that some form of squat mobility work, which they demonstrated, is worthwhile to do before lifting. Jumping drills were good. Barefoot/minimalist shoe running on grass is good for developing foot and ankle strength, but then go do long runs in normal running shoes. The crawling around seemed silly.

i wasn’t sure where to put it, so i put it here…

the crawling feels silly, too…

but i feel it in my hips (and i’m regular with my deep squat mobility practice). just seemed to hit the angles a bit different… and there is something about neuromuscular coordination with different kinds of gait, perhaps… or maybe i drunk the kool aid…

Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a spider can . . .

I’m getting trained for powerlifting, the trainer comes from a Westside background. He’s testing me on general movement and how to get my body to do what I need it to do. Gotta work out muscle imbalances, that sort of thing. So it doesn’t look so silly as you might think.
