Interesting. Seeing as how you posted this in the Over 35 forum, I can attest that some form of squat mobility work, which they demonstrated, is worthwhile to do before lifting. Jumping drills were good. Barefoot/minimalist shoe running on grass is good for developing foot and ankle strength, but then go do long runs in normal running shoes. The crawling around seemed silly.
but i feel it in my hips (and i’m regular with my deep squat mobility practice). just seemed to hit the angles a bit different… and there is something about neuromuscular coordination with different kinds of gait, perhaps… or maybe i drunk the kool aid…

I’m getting trained for powerlifting, the trainer comes from a Westside background. He’s testing me on general movement and how to get my body to do what I need it to do. Gotta work out muscle imbalances, that sort of thing. So it doesn’t look so silly as you might think.
