Movies that Aren't Deep and Meaningful

How about the movies that you just like. You know, the ones your friends or significant others say:

“I can’t believe you’re watching this shit!”
“It’s stupid and gross!”
“How juvenile!”
“I can’t believe I let you drag me to the movies to watch this!”
come on fess up

Wizards(Ralph Bakshi)-1977
Army of Darkness-1992
A Boy and His Dog-1975
Still Smokin’(Cheech and Chong)-1983
Spinal Tap 1984
Igor-2008
Porky’s-1982
Rocky Horror Picture Show-1975
Resevior Dogs-1992
Eating Raoul-1982

so much trash so little time

Well, seeing as how I’m a big horror buff, I kind of get a lot of grief for that.

That, and of course a lot of flack for liking 80’s action movies. Haters.

Fletch

Heavy Metal

The Jerk

Evil Dead

13 Ghosts

There’s a shiload, but that’s off the top of my head…

Spinal Tap is a classic. That doesn’t belong in your list. Neither does Still Smoking or Reservoir Dogs.

If your friends give you crap for watching those movies, it means that THEY are the ones that have no taste in movies.

If anything, I give my friends shit for watching and loving terrible romantic comedies, movies starring shitty actors, or totally unoriginal movies.

On a related note, I’m watching Porky’s tonight for the first time.

Deconstructing Harry - for some reason my friends hate this movie, I love it.

Van Wilder

2nd for “The Jerk” and “Resevior Dogs”

I learned the most important life lesson from a movie of this nature. FUBAR ahaha " lifes about going out and givn’r in every situation, you just gotta get out there and givr" something like that anyways.

Orgazmo (and chotto boy!)

I believe that movie is deep and meaningful.

Was it “Tango and Cash”?

Cutthroat Island: she kicks ass with a sword
True Lies: hot dance, big muscles, a Harrier jet… whew!

Knight’s Tale: horses, muscles, weapons & good tunes!

Any of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series. My friends will never understand my love for them! Makes me happy though! She kicks ass with kicks, swords, and whatever else she finds.

“I am Sancho.”

I love that movie!

Maxxx Orbison: What’s your name, again?
Sancho: I am Sancho.
Maxxx Orbison: Look, I get a lot of people auditioning all the time. What makes you think that you’d be good enough for porno?
Sancho: I am Sancho.
Maxxx Orbison: Great… but what do you do?
Sancho: What do I do? I am Sancho.
Maxxx Orbison: And…?
Sancho: And there are many Jeffs in the world, and many Toms as well. But I… am Sancho.
Maxxx Orbison: And…?
Sancho: Are you Sancho? No you are not. Neither is Scott Baio Sancho. Frank Gifford is not Sancho. But I…
Maxxx Orbison: You… are Sancho!
Sancho: That’s right.
Maxxx Orbison: Okay, you’re hired.

would people please not call ‘Reservoir Dogs’ trash, thank you

Hot shots 1&2
Shooter
Team america
Dude, where’s my car?
Lethal weapon

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb-1964

the trash reference was sarcastic. I consider Reservoir Dogs a cult classic. Speaking of which more fun.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension-1984
Bubba Ho-Tep-2002
Last House on the Left-1972
A Clockwork Orange-1971

Well i just saw the new Punisher movie which for the most part was pretty lame, but i liked it’s over the top killing.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Raising Arizona.
Superbad
Eurotrip - highly underated movie.

Totally agree with these.

So many of these movies I liked even more when I used to get high.

Transformers

The first few Pink Panther movies.
