Morning Training: Split the Shake?

About to embark on a pilot run of something Velocity diet esque. I lift weights and do conditioning first thing in the morning. I make it a point to have breakfast with my kid afterwards.

I still want to share a meal with my kid while doing this approach.

Knowing those parameters, would it be more ideal for me to cut the breakfast shake in half and have half before training and half afterwards, to avoid training in a fasted state, or is that inconsequential with the bedtime feeding and training fasted with a full shake afterwards a better fit?

I’d go halvsies myself. Not a fan of fasted training.
