Modafinal...

Has anyone tried this? Does it increase heart rate?

Share experiences please. I am thinking about talking to my doctor about it. I was prescribed adderall and I just can’t take the stuff, it tweaks me out way too bad and I get addicted to it.

Good stuff - no mad ‘up’ or anything on 200mg. More that you notice that you still feel mentally pretty good when you would normally start to slump or feel a bit tired. Obviously if you use it to stay awake for a couple of days then you’re going to need some serious sleep when you come off it, but definitely good stuff.

I love the stuff, I also take 200mg on average with absolutely no sides.

It doesn’t give me a ‘spun’ time feeling like ephedrine and no crash either. For me the effects are almost not noticable at 200mg and under - what I mean is that no matter what the situation i.e. no sleep, couple hours of sleep - it makes you feel completely rested like you got your 8 hours (or whatever) and are completely rested and ready for whatever.

Amphetamine does all of that stuff that you guys mentioned but it is too much for my heart. What are moda’s effects on the heart? Is it noticable?

How does Modafinal compare to Spike?

Are they similar in effects?

Well personally, I would class speed as a totally different drug. Potentially addictive, psychosis-inducing, catabolic, contributes to adrenal fatigue, etc. According to some pubmed articles, modafinil has zero physiological effects (like increasing HR, BP, etc) below 800mg.[/quote]

Thanks bud.

Honestly, personally, I like 200mg caffeine better than modafinil, although I might be saying that because it is more noticeable.
However, modafinil is definitely worth a try as an alternitive to Adderall (or other amphetamines.)

Also, Spike is good, but the active ingredient is a little bit underdosed IMHO.

IMO modafinil is awesome. Work synergistically with vinpocetine, Spike, oxiracetam (though not all at the same time, lol).

Why not man? especially for finals! heh.

I personally love modafinil. I use it on days where I won’t be getting much sleep. 40h without sleep on modafinil feels better than a regular day w/ 9h of sleep.

I don’t take the stuff every day, since it hasn’t been studied much, although it appears to have only good effects.

Out of maybe 8 people who I’ve given some to, maybe 4 love it, 2 like it, and 2 think it’s weak.

For those that have taken both Spike and Vitamin M…

Would the sleep issue’s be the same?

Good question. Also, do doctors prescribe this stuff, or is it too new? If I can’t get it from an MD is there any way to get it in the USA?

If you mean that you wouldn’t be able to sleep if you take it too close to bed time, then yes, it would be similar. The timing (half lives) might be different though.

Actually, come to think, I think modafinil is cleaner than caffeine or yohimbine.

You might have to convince your doc to try it off label for ADHD, or find a different doc altogether.

If you can’t get a prescription, there are several sources online, mostly either from India or Europe. You can probably find it at around $1.50 per 200mg tablet. I know of one site that sells bulk powder. If you decide to go the bulk powder route, you’ll need a scale that you’re comfortable weighing 200mg (0.2 grams) on.

Modafinil is great stuff. Almost everyone I’ve given it to thinks it’s spectacular. I don’t like caffeine or amphetamines because of the buzz. Modafinil keeps you awake and focused without that, so it’s almost hard to tell you’ve even taken anything becuase it’s very subtle.

If you stay up all night and take some the next day you’ll feel “normal,” but if you do it again without taking modafinil you’ll realize it does more than you think. If you take it after getting a full night’s sleep you’ll be the most productive you’ve probably every been.

Would you say that about Spike?

Modafinil is a godsend drug…

By far the best “life-style” drug I’ve ever taken.

It makes me UNBELIEVABLY productive…if I take it on a day when I’ve already had a good nights sleep I will get LITERALLY twice as much work done in the day. Seriously, thats not an exaggeration it’s possibly even an understatement.

I analyse things from many different perspectives, I exercise better judgement, I put forward my point of view more. A lot of the time in work, I will suddendly find myself talking much louder (not in a bad way) and being far more attentive than I would normally be.

Only been taking it consistently for a few weeks and already I’m beginning to make great strides in my work, social lifestyle etc.

I dunno if it’s just a personal effect but it makes me incredibly ambitious and hard working, which is nice since generally I am quite a passive and laid back person…it gives me an intense desire to be “constructive” with my time whether it’s work, reading, creating business ideas etc.

Actually, I will sit in work on an unbelievably busy day and be thrilled…working feels great! And the busier it gets I get a real “bring it on” feeling

Socially it’s great too. normally after work I would be WAY too crashed to go out. Id just wanna chill by the TV or somethin. With Modaf, I can work intensely all day, and head out afterwards still as awake as i was at 10AM.

I’m chatty all day too and find it really easy to have conversations with people since I’m so alert and attentive. This also gives a great feeling of confidence.

Probably the greatest “lifestyle” drug ever invented IMO (next to gear of course…lol)…I will probably never go off Modafinil as long as I live. It has enriched my life beyond measure…

The human race (mentally speaking) is coming along & evolving in leaps and bounds thanks to the arrival of these “lifestyle drugs”…very exciting drugs IMO. More and more drugs are arriving that give us the power to enrich every aspect of our lives without any negative side effects.

WE can now have better sex, work better, socialise better, look better, play sport better…pretty much do EVERYTHING better!!

Just awaiting the arrival of ampakines…now THERES an incredibly exciting drug!!

CD

As for Spike, I have no idea what it’s like because it’s illegal here!!!

Isnt that UNBELIEVABLE??!!! Appraently, yohimbe/yohimbine (an ingredient of Spike) is technically a medicine under our laws and therefore importation is illegal. I got my pack seized and and a letter from the medical board and lost like 100euro in supps!!

Fuckin government…(ireland BTW)
