That was my point…It’s more about what a person does…than who he/she is personally,right? At least when talking about important people of history. Does MLK’s personal issues as a MAN negate his affect and role in the EVENT of the Civil Rights movement? Just trying to provoke thought outside “how terrible of a person MLK was”…which this thread was turning into.

Most “heroes” have clay feet. But when someone has done good things, it only makes sense to admire those good things and respect them. The defects are surely reminders that we are all men, fallible, none of us perfect.
