In response to your letter and problem getting dumbells up for presses. When I go heavy I’ll sit on a bench, use my knees/legs to “kick” the d.b.s up to my shoulders, then stand up. Simple and effective. Hope that helps.

There is definately a timing trick to the leg/thigh kick-up, though. My partner makes this look so easy, but when I try to kick up the 100# DBs , I can’t get the timing right and end up straining, trying to “curl” the weight up. Almost been hurt a few times … Anyways, I’m still working on it - it’s very cool when you get the technique down …
