Missing One Tricep Head?

Something that hasn’t been mentioned yet: Mind-muscle connection

Like you, I had a slightly underdeveloped long head on my left tri. I traced the cause back to pushing movements such a BB bench press. I noticed that with pushing exercises my right tri would feel more worked than the left. I believe this accumulation of imbalanced workload over many months led to the difference between my two tri’s.

To correct this problem I did 2 things:

  1. Developed a mind-muscle connection with my left tri’s long head (I can tense the individual long head with almost no activation from the other heads) by using some targeted isolation exercises such as one arm REVERSE grip cable pulldowns and rope pulldowns focusing on squeezing that left long head.

  2. When I do pushing exercises, I’d actively try and use my left tricep more

It’s been 3 months and my tri’s development are more or less identical.

Oh and you’ve gotta add mass to actually fix anything so it’s best to try this during a mass-gaining phase
