Minor Abdominal Pain

Just sharing this because i feel like it, maybe someone else here might experience something similar.

Its something like im aggravating my natural umbilical hernia (your belly button) from heavy weight training.

It will seem to come and go in cycles. For a few weeks/month i wont have anything, then i will gradually get an odd tingling stinging type of sensation in/around the navel. Then after a while it will be accompanied by a little bulge right beside the navel a little smaller than the size of a penny.

I will then cut back on heavy stuff, do more fast/explosive stuff, after a couple weeks i will be back to normal again.

I postulate that minor abdominal things like this are more prevalent with relative large torso individuals such as myself. More surface area, MORE PLACES TO RIP YOUR GUTS OPEN.

Other than this i feel quite good.

Most likely.

This sounds like a classical inguinal hernia which is very common in athletes and individuals who weight train. This type of hernia differs from the hernia sedentary people suffer from namely that there is a very small tear (on most occasions) in one of the ligaments in the inguinal canal, The tear will not heal as is the case with many tears due tot he failure of the tissue to form scarred tissue and surgery is reccomonded.

On the plus side the surgery is very straightforward and within a month or so you can be back training with weights. The diagnosis involves the surgeon putting his hand under your balls and asking you to cough where he will be able to plapate the part of the inguinal canal which is torn although by tear one is essentially mean thinning .

As for the fact that this comes and goes in your case this is again typical and likely to be related to inflammation in the area and in particular accumulative inflammation which tends to occur on back to back training sessions. Its probably best to have it checked by a surgeon , make sure a good one not one of those fuckin cow boys and one does have to be selective because there is no shortage of cow boys and shit surgeons although this doesnt seem to be easily identifiable as invariably they all think they`re better than they are. Go for one who is CURRENTLY operating on NFL NBA players and known to them because if the shit surgeons quickly get found out in that circle and sacked albeit too politely and quietly.

Don’t be surprised if the frequency and severity increases.

The fact that you posted here and the overall tone of your post leads me to believe that there is a certain degree of wishful thinking on your part. Get examined by a qualified medical professional.
