Mike Brown

this guy talks about something called Desiccated Liver. There’s some pretty wild claims about how it can put muscle on you. Any comments? Anybody know of this stuff?

This guy is loony. He says that he puts his clients on a diet program to gain weight following the principles in the Book of Leviticus. It’s fine that you believe that way but to say it is the way to gain weight is obsurd. This guy is certainly old school. As the saying goes, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.”

According to Beverly and Serrano, yes, there are benefits. But did you check that guy’s website? He’s insane.

the liver is where toxic materials pass and I certainly wouldn’t trust animal organs for the purpose of ingesting them to promote health.

Dessicated liver tabs are just recycled 50’s and 60’s sups.

Hate to say it, but if your diet is lacking in protein DL will you a shot in the arm that’s hard to beat. Of course, if you don’t have a protein deficiency then it won’t make as much of a difference, but it’s still got the best amino profile available.

Don’t know anything about this Mike Brown guy, but DL isn’t bad, especially for the money. Yes, it’s old-school. So what? It works.

There have been a lot of discussions about DL on the board here. Doing a search will bring up a lot of pros and cons.
