Grow! is the less expensive alternative to Metabolic Drive. I use it for meal replacement/supplementation at any time of day. I also use it to make a “poor man’s Surge”, which is a scoop of Grow! and Gatorade, and sometimes creatine.
If you can afford Metabolic Drive, use it whenever you want.

Typically, one might use whey (Grow!) right after a workout since it’s digested more quickly and thus causes a surge on insulin.
However, one could use it any time (if you can’t afford Metabolic Drive) as any kind of protein is better than no protein.
However, for better all-around muscle building purposes, Metabolic Drive is superior.
