Mercury in Tuna?

How much tuna can be consumed on a daily basis without worrying about high mercury levels? Any suggestions on a food substitute would be greatly appreciated (both in nutritional content and price).

There was an article about this recently. It’s safe to eat tuna each day. A can each day is no problem.

If you need more than a can or two a day, then maybe you need more variety in your daily nutritional habits. You can get plenty of protein from:

Beef
Chicken
Fish, scallops, shrimp, etc.
Pork, and other animal sources
Cottage cheese
Eggs
Canned tuna or chicken
Milk
Protein Powders
etc.

Good looks on posting the article. I think I’m gonna cut back to about 4 cans a week. Has anyone tried the canned chicken that looks like tuna?
