Mentzer's Heavy Duty Workouts

Can you please post the different workouts he published in his books and courses from the 70s and 80s?
Is there a compilation of his earlier articles and books HD for download?

Regards

As best as I can tell this is one of his earlier versions of heavy duty. Probably closest to the what he actually trained on.

Definitely much higher workload than he recommended. But in my opinion a much more workable routine for most. Kinda went off the deep end as time went on.

Is it 4 cycles on supersets for upper body and 2 cycles for lower body? Are the reps 6-9 for all body parts?

Regards

Each body part is slightly unique. It’s all listed in the pic. Generally mentzer preferred 6-10 reps approx for upper body and slightly higher for lower body.

According to Roger Schwab…he trained Mentzer 3x/week full body routine on nautilus equipment for the 1980 Olympia…Roger removed himself from judging of that contest to remove any bias or favoritism that he may have accused of

The book ‘Wisdom of Mike Mentzer’ is a good compilation of both his earlier and later writings and training beliefs and keeps the crazy in check.
Its 11 bucks on Amazon. (digital and real copy)

There are several articles on Tnation part of the site also

Ellington discusses the mentzers training here…
