meltdown OVERtraining?

I read Don Alessi’s “Meltdown Training” article and was thinking about trying it out but I’m a little confused about one thing…
According to the program, each of the two routines should be performed twice a week (I’m assuming on a M-T, TH-F split). But then again, each routine is a complete full-body workout employing compound exercises like the squat and deadlift. Now then, wouldn’t that equate to four full-body workouts within a five day period? And wouldn’t that result in drastic overtraining? I don’t even see how one could possibly recover! Am I completely misinterpreting this? Help me out here…
