Meltdown Help

Has anyone here done Meltdown Training II? If so, does it work? I would like to try it, but I am confused by the rest times during the exercises/sets. It is laid out in a 1+1+1 fashion and I’m not sure what that means. Any help concerning rest times would be greatly appreciated.

I did it last spring and had good results. My diet wasn’t perfect, but i still managed to improve my body comp w/o losing much weight. You just have to be careful with the heavy weights that are involved and the oly-lifts.

Can you give me any help concerning the actual set/rep routine? I don’t quite understand it.

Can anyone help? I want to start tomorrow, but its going to be tough considering I have no idea how to do the work out correctly.

1+1+1 means do one rep then re-rack the bar, rest 15 seconds then do 2nd rep, re-rack bar, rest 15 seconds do 3rd rep.

This is one set, after this do next exercise the same way.

Personally, if I were looking to lose weight I’s probably use Mutaion Series by Christian Thibaudeau from 2004.

i’ve try it myself, i know what that means.

i’ll use the program in Meltdown II to explain:

Day 1

A1-Powerclean+push press : 1 rep, 15sec rest; 1 rep, 15sec rest; 1 rep, 15sec rest(between exercise)=>

A2-Chinup:1 rep, 15sec rest; 1 rep, 15sec rest; 1 rep, 15sec rest(between exercise)=>

A3-BenchPress:1 rep, 15sec rest; 1 rep, 15sec rest; 1 rep, 15sec rest(between exercise)=>

A4-PowerClean:1 rep, 15sec rest; 1 rep, 15sec rest; 1 rep,

then after you finish A1-A4, rest as follow before start A1-A4 again
week 1 : 240sec
week 2 : 230sec
week 3 : 220sec
week 4 : 240sec

anything you need help, just post it. i’ll be here for at least 12 more hours.

So it’s essentially a circuit of all lifts with 15 seconds rest in between each rep, then rest 240 seconds, then do it all over again? Its going to be tough to do that because my gym is so heavily populated. Are there any other good workouts for fat loss?

that’s the problem i’ve when i try this program…and my joints can’t support me doing all those explosive lifts with heavy weights…may be some guys can do it. but not me.

i’ve used EDT for fat loss, similar physiological response: exhausted.

so i guess you may want to try that one rather than Meltdown II.
