Maybe I'm Doing Too Much Volume??

Is it alright for a football player to be benching twice a week? I was thinking about rotating 5/3/1 protocol with a 5x3 DE speed day.
Let me know your thoughts I’d appreciate it.

Isn’t it the off season right now? What is your weekly football schedule like outside the weight room right now? What’s your nutrition / sleep / stress like? How much accessory / supplemental work are you doing? Restoration / recovery techniques being used? You should be fine benching twice a week like that, but there are alot of facters to consider what the overall effect will be.

Depends. Is benching twice a week helping you attain your goals? If so, then its fine.
