Max Effort Lift Advice

Hey guys, I want to ask a question of my own, if you don’t mind…

I’m trying a new routine to get my deadlift up. I recently failed 405 after getting 380x2 the preceding week. What I plan on doing is alternating each week between:

1.) Working up to a maximal single on the deadlift followed by light-ish P-chain, ab, and upper back work

and

2.) Doing five or so speed singles followed by heavy P-chain, ab, and upper back work.

So, I’ll be doing a max effort attempt every two weeks.

Next month, I plan of doing 395 for the first ME workout and 405 for the next.

Does this look alright to you? I’m new to ME/DE type stuff…
