Massive Eating program

If I understand correctly, the Massive Eating article says that we should have some meals that spike insulin, and some meals that provide energy w/o releasing much insulin. Would this mean that for the protein plus carbs meals that the carbohydrate consumed would preferably be one that is high on the glycemic index. The reason I ask is because low GI foods are what are given as examples of things to eat for the carb plus protein meal in the massive eating article.
