I want a change for a few weeks, maybe a month, and I’m thinking I want to incorporate a combination of EDT blocks and some Crossfit-style high-intensity metabolic conditioning.
I’m 6’2", 208.5 lbs, moderately lean (can see veins in shoulders and sometimes in hips, serratus and obliques very visible when i flex). My long-term goal is to get to 220lbs lean, but I’m in this for the long haul and know that variety can be good for new stimulus. I’d like to drop a little bit of the winter layer I’ve got on right now.
Provided my diet stays where it is (1.25-1.5 grams/protein per lb), clean carbs, healthy fats, and I train hard, will I hang on to my muscle mass during a training cycle where I’m working less with heavier weights and more volume?
I don’t want to do an extreme diet like Velocity, since I don’t think I have that much fat to lose. Just want to lean out, get fitter (I look athletic with my shirt off but don’t have great stamina on long walks, etc).
Thanks for your help, gents and ladies.
